NEW PROJECTS COMING WEDNESDAY, MARCH 6TH

Occasionally we have projects that can only be accessed via Facebook. Our last project, that wasn't shared here, was like that. They are a pretty popular type of project. Many of our rescues are foster based and they are a perfect example of how Wrapped in Love blankets work. We make sure the dog or cat gets their very own blanket and when the lucky right person comes along to offer a forever home, the blanket (that they have already recognized as their own) follows them. That means in a new place there is that comfort and familiarity of a bonded blanket. Sometimes we have projects that very much cater to this idea and we have a "pick a pup" project. We provide a photo and their name. The artisans claim a dog by commenting on that specific photo. They make a special blanket and ship to the rescue who makes sure the blanket gets to the right dog. It's a beautiful thing. We are going to do that again this Wednesday, but there will also be a second project for a different rescue which is not a pick your pet type of situation.

The second project is for a brand new rescue to our family of rescues that will be asking for adoption blankets, kennel blankets, little bandanas, toys, and rice socks. This rescue group is admirable for so many reasons, but I don't want to get ahead of myself and offer too much info yet. This is a sneak preview kind of blog post. Wondering what exactly is a rice sock? You can read about them here: https://thefrugalgirls.com/2016/01/diy-rice-sock.html

They are invaluable to rescues that specialize in the sick, the young, the elderly, special needs, etc... Instead of depending on heating pads which can overheat or even catch on fire if used incorrectly, rice socks are only as hot as you microwave them to be. They hold heat for extended periods of time and are perfect for after surgery or for the orphaned puppy/kitten. They are also good for humans for aches and pains. So, there you have it. A "pick a dog" and another special project on Wednesday. If you'd like to join in, come back here for details. Or, you can see everything on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/groups/artisanswithamission
