Two new projects were announced yesterday on our Facebook page and they are going great, but it's not too late to join in. Blankets are needed for the two following rescues.
LL Dog Rescue is located in Kansas. We had a pick a pup project and all those dogs are claimed for special blankets. But, they are a rescue, so having extra blankets for all the other dogs in their rescue and that will be coming into their rescue would be wonderful. Every dog deserves their own blanket. The newest rescue to join Wrapped in Love is an extraordinary program run exclusively by veterinary students at UC Davis in California. They have a network of foster homes in the area who take the kittens until they can be adopted. The Orphan Kitten Project takes on the tiny, the ill, the special needs and provide veterinary care. The veterinary students gain valuable experience while giving these little kitties a chance at living a long and happy life. What a great program! They would like blankets, kennel blankets which stay with the rescue versus the ones who go home with the cats, plus little bandanas to wear at adoption events, kitty toys, and rice socks.
