Next week we will have new projects for you all to work on. Here is a sneak preview of just one of the rescues that will be featured. Every year we make a point of sending blankets to a very special rescue for a very special project.
Years ago, when we were first opening up the southeast region of the US, we were doing some internet searches and ran across this rescue in Florida. It was absolutely heartbreaking and heartwarming all at the same time. I certainly wouldn't even attempt to explain the story, so I will let the founder do it herself. Every year they have the Pawsitive Kids Camp and yes, it's as awesome as the name sounds. Over the summer the kids and the dogs interact and it's incredibly helpful for the kids as well as readying the dogs for being adopted. Our goal, every May, is to send them a minimum of 40 blankets so that the dogs have a blanket for when they've graduated from kids camp and are up for adoption. Pretty great, right?
