We have two new projects ready for Wrapped in Love adoption blankets and they are both cat rescues. We all know how dogs love a good blanket, but as it turns out, so do kitties. And what's not to Love? Every rescue animal deserves a soft place to land and a handmade with Love blanket is the sweetest and softest. Both rescues have been a part of the Wrapped in Love family for years and can hardly wait to start getting more blankets. First up is Sierra Pacific Furbabies in Northern California. They adopt out about 100 cats/kittens every year. We want to send as many blankets as we possibly can. This rescue does accept crochet/knit blankets. Just remember to not send something with holes in the pattern and ensure the stitches are nice and tight. If you would like to learn more about this wonderful rescue group, check out their website here: https://www.sierrapacificfurbabies.com/
The other rescue is Belinda's House of Cats located in Texas. We want to send as many blankets as we possibly can to this rescue too. This rescue does accept crochet/knit blankets. Again, remember to not send something with holes in the pattern and ensure the stitches are nice and tight. If you'd like to learn more about this rescue, you'll visit them on their FB page here: https://www.facebook.com/Belindashouseofcats
Of course, with both cat rescues, if you'd like to throw some cat toys in with the blankets, please do! Can you make them? Absolutely yes. There are some great ideas at this link using fleece scraps: https://www.catster.com/lifestyle/diy-fleece-toys-for-cats/
Note: the instruction suggesting you use a shower ring can be modified to use the plastic ring off a juice or milk jug.
Okay, are you convinced yet? If the answer is yes, just let me know so I can add your blanket numbers to our overall pledges. For addresses to these and all our current rescues, click this link: https://wilartisans.wixsite.com/wilartisans/forum/wil-rescues/donation-forms
